Borderless Spirits

The Global Distillation Gallery

Borderless Spirits celebrates the ingenuity of communities that turned grain, fruit, and root into heritage. Africa takes the lead — with akpeteshie, chang'aa, tej, ogogoro, and mampoer — joined by lesser-known beverages such as Bolivia's chicha, Mexico's pulque, Cherokee corn-based kvfi, and Australian bush honey mead. These drinks aren't "global treasures" yet; this gallery elevates them — documenting the artistry, trade, and survival encoded in every drop. Fermentation is resistance; aging is art; identity is the legacy.
